Ted Tyczka is the Principal of Golden Mile Management - Consulting Services. Established in 1986, Golden Mile Management is a full-service, Human Resource, Organizational Development & Career Transitioning Consulting firm.  We provide external Human Resource support services, programs, processes and custom developed solutions to notable Canadian Businesses, high-profile North American & Global Organizations.

Our mission is to develop, tailor and deliver innovative, progressive and discreet initiatives for businesses, organizations, Senior Executives and Business Leaders while delivering service excellence across the Greater Toronto Area, all regions of Canada and the United States.

Earlier in his career, Ted was promoted to the Executive / Strategic Leadership Team within a major Canadian Corporation as Director of Human Resources and Development. Thereafter, Ted was invited to join a prestigious Management Consulting firm in Toronto, where he spearheaded the Human Resources Division of this practice.  Ted acquired invaluable experience within the Human Resources field while managing diversified projects across North America on behalf of notable Canadian Corporations, high-profile multi-national businesses and global clients. 

Ted founded Golden Mile Management - Consulting Services in Toronto, Ontario with a passion for owning his own business and commitment to entrepreneurship.  

In the mid 90’s, Ted was approached to manage a National Canadian Industry Association and to represent this group as its Executive Director for several years while concurrently operating Golden Mile Management - Consulting Services. He expanded the Association from 7 member companies to a vibrant, 35-member organization during a business climate of recession and global industry compression. 

As Executive Director, Ted chaired meetings with the Association’s Board of Directors, routinely interfaced with Provincial and Federal Governments, facilitated numerous Marketing and Technical Committee meetings across Ontario and Canada, while interfacing with counterpart organizations in the United States.

Ted’s academic background includes: Doctoral studies in Human Resources & Organizational Development (University of Toronto).  He completed a Master’s Degree (University of Toronto), as well as an Honours B.A. (Queen’s University). Ted also completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Education at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.

In conjunction with his academic pursuits, Ted was a key contributor to the 1978 Queen’s University - National Football Championship Team, achieving All Star Conference recognition during his final two seasons with the Club. The ’78 Team achieved and experienced a remarkable undefeated season. Ted and his 1978 Vanier Cup Canadian Championship Teammates were inducted into the Queen’s University Football Hall of Fame in September of 2015.  

Ted was drafted by the Montreal Alouettes in 1979.  He also signed with the Edmonton Eskimos as a “free agent” in 1980. These notable CFL Teams enjoyed Grey Cup Championship seasons in this era. Ted has several years of General Management / Head Coaching (Hockey) experience within the Greater Toronto Hockey League. He has also served as a Head Coach (Football) at the High School level in Toronto, Ontario.

Ted resides in Toronto, Ontario with his wife and children. He continues to support youth development and actively contributes to community school / sports activities.  Ted is also engaged in fundraising, volunteering time and resources to various charitable organizations.  

Ted and his colleagues within the firm continue to assist and support organizations, Senior Executives and individual clients as seasoned Human Resource Professionals.
